About Our Dare2Care Project
What Is Our Dare2Care Project?
We pride ourselves in being a wrap around service, aiming to meet the needs of the individual. We are here to help those in our community who need it most. We do not work with vouchers, we work mainly on self-referrals and referrals from doctors, healthcare workers and social services. We make an assessment of the situation and provide the most appropriate help needed, which also might include access to our other services.
Ask For HelpMore Than A Food Bank
Although we could be described as the food bank in Dromore, we do not see ourselves as one. We are here to help those in our community who need it most. We do not work with vouchers, we work mainly with referrals from doctors, health workers, social workers and self referrals. We make an assessment of their situation and provide the most appropriate help needed, which also might require access to our other services.
Ask For HelpAdvice & Support
Dare2Care does not just provide food, we provide emotional support, we listen and we will signpost to the appropriate agency when necessary.

What is the Larder?
The Larder
This is our social supermarket service that aims to create a bridge to independence from our Dare2Care food service. We provide families and individuals in our community a weekly membership. This provides them the opportunity to plan, prepare and cook their own meals.
The Archway
The Archway is our fresh food project that provides an accessible place for the community to come in and pick up fruit, vegetables, bread, and other items to help them to create nutritious meals. Fuelled by surplus food from our amazing partners Marks and Spencer’s, Lidl and Tesco, we strive to help cut down on food waste and turn it into meals for the community. Through our archway over 81,000 meals have been provided to the community, which amounts to saving nearly 110,000kg of Co2 emissions. We have a donation box located in our archway for those who can afford to pop a donation in. This helps us to regenerate income to continue to help those who need it most.
